Whether you’re a cheese lover or a hardcore castle defence gamer, we have something good to recommend today. Wrath of Cheese, a castle defence game made by our fellow Malaysians have just been released in the app store earlier this month.
The game story is about humans and zombies fighting over for cheese and the captions are humorous at the beginning of each level. Your mission is to defence your castle against the attack from the zombies while at the same time, destroy their castle. You train armies with gold coins and you get to drag and drop units wherever you want. Tap and hold to scroll across the gameplay area quickly and you are able to use magical power to fireball your enemy or to heal your troops in battle. Gain skill points and special items as you complete the different stages of the game. You can also buy items in the store with red chillies. I have to say this is one of the best castle defence game you can find out there. Warning: This game is addictive.
Wrath of Cheese iOS game is a Universal App which is designed for both your iPad and iPhone. I prefer to play it on the iPad more than the iPhone probably because I get a bigger screen to deploy my troops faster. Below are some Gameplay screen shots.
Apart from developing fluid and addictive gameplay, the game developer Common Extract also focus on delivering nice music tracks to enhance your gaming experience. Wrath of Cheese contains 19 music tracks by 11 different composers from 6 different countries.
Developing The Game
It took Common Extract team 6 months to develop this game prior to it’s official release on 1st December 2012. Although they are aware that the genre of the game is crowded, they paid more time and attention to add extra features into the game to ensure that the game standout from the rest. Common Extract is a company founded by Rob Lee and is based in Johor Bahru. The company also develop apps for corporate clients in Singapore and Iskandar Malaysia. Visit their website here.
